My elder 4y daughter began to learn "Phonics" with this book. I bought it at Poundland for £3≒¥450. Now, she can read almost Single Sounds and their combination, like "cat", "bed", "ant". 幼児向けのワークを見たり、小学校の案内（イギリスでは5歳になる年の9月からなので実質4歳のときから小学生）を見いていると、この phonix というメソッドをやるのが主流みたい。長女に少しでも自身が付けばと、学校の前に先取りで始めてみた。日本のひらがな・カタカナ読むみたいな感じなのかな。
